  • $1000 cover -premium is $11
  • $2000 cover -premium is $12.50
  • $3000 cover -premium is $14.50

  • $5000 cover -premium is $18

Extended family members – $1000-$1.11 -up to 75years (76-90years-$8)

Extended family members – $2000-$1.97 -up to 75years(76-90years-$14.20)

How much premium per month for Sarudzo

  • $2000 cover -premium is $11.10-(Principal) Immediate family $18.40
  • $5000 cover -premium is $14.25-(Immediate family $32.50

Extended family members per policy- $3.20

  • Chema: Minimum USD 1,000; Maximum USD 2,000

Policy documents can be sent via email or WhatsApp you can also visit our offices for the hard copy.

Can I cancel my policy online?

Yes, you can cancel by submitting a written request

What types of motor insurance are available?

  • Third-Party Insurance: Covers damage to other vehicles and property.
  • Comprehensive Insurance: Covers your vehicle and third-party damages.
  • Third-Party Fire and Theft: Covers third-party damages, plus theft or fire damage to your vehicle.

Who is eligible for motor insurance?

Any individual or business that owns a Zimbabwean registered vehicle can apply for motor insurance at Zimnat.

What documents are required to apply for motor insurance?

How is my premium calculated?

Premiums are based on factors such as the make and model of the car, its year, and the loss ratio.

How much is the radio license?

The radio license costs USD 30.

How much is the Zinara fee?

The Zinara fee is USD 40.

How often do I need to renew my motor insurance?

You can renew your motor insurance quarterly or annually

Vehicle Repair Relief Cover

What is Vehicle Repair Relief cover?

This is an add-on insurance cover from Zimnat General Insurance designed to complement your existing motor vehicle insurance policy to ensure 360-degree protection.

Why do I need this product if I have a comprehensive cover?

Comprehensive cover pays for your car repairs. This product helps you manage life without your car, such as car hire for school runs, extra repairs, and additional medical services. These benefits also apply to third-party policyholders

What does this policy cover?

What does this policy cover? It provides a daily benefit to the insured for each day their vehicle is under repair following a road accident.

What are the premium rates for the courtesy vehicle options?

  • Courtesy Vehicle Standard:
    • Low to Mid-range vehicles: USD 50
    • Daily benefit: 14 Days/USD 700
    • Annual premium: USD 60.00/year
  • Courtesy Vehicle Premium:
    • High-End Vehicles: USD 100
    • Daily benefit: 14 Days/USD 1,400.00
    • Annual premium: USD 120.00/year

What are the different cover options?

There are two options: Vehicle Repair Relief Standard for a premium of USD 20/term for a benefit of $50/day, and Vehicle Repair Relief Premium for a premium of USD 40/term for a benefit of $100/day.

How will the benefit be paid out?

The benefit will be paid directly to the service provider.

How many times can I claim in a year?

You can have a maximum of 2 events in any one year, with a maximum of 14 days per year per cover.

Is there any additional charge on the premium?

No, premiums are inclusive of duties.

What types of accidents are not covered?

Single-party accidents are excluded, and accidents not covered under the main policy are also not covered under the Vehicle Repair Relief Cover.

Is there an excess I need to pay?

Yes, there is an excess for the first day of repairs, meaning the benefit will start from the second day onwards.

My business protector

What is My business protector cover?

It’s a flat premium, affordable, and simple insurance solution designed by Zimnat General Insurance to meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Zimbabwe.

Who qualifies for the cover?

In the event of a covered loss, the policy will pay up to the specified limit for that coverage, without considering whether the total value of your assets was higher.
